Pioneer is 8-2 against River City since March of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Patriots will host the Raiders at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Pioneer's favor as the squad sits on eight straight wins at home while River City has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.
On Monday, it was close, but Pioneer sidestepped Vintage for a 3-2 win. That's two games straight that the Patriots have won by just one run.

Jia Beebe spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned runs on ten hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Marisa Bryson was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and two runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Sofia Hernandez was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
Franklin hit River City with a four-run fourth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Raiders came up short against the Wildcats, falling 11-1.
River City saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emily Sauceda, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.
Pioneer is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.1 runs over those games. As for River City, their loss dropped their record down to 5-18.
River City's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Pioneer has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.7 hits per game. It's a different story for River City, though, as they've been averaging 13.1 hits. Given Pioneer's sizable advantage in that area, the Raiders will need to find a way to close that gap.
Pioneer took their win against River City when the teams last played on April 4th by a conclusive 14-2 score. Will the Patriots repeat their success, or do the Raiders have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
