Even though the Houlka Wildcats scored an imposing 69 points on Friday, the Potts Camp Cardinals still came out on top. Potts Camp took down Houlka 83-69. The win made it back-to-back wins for Potts Camp.
Houlka's loss came despite strong showings from Nehemiah Flemmings and Elijah Foster. Flemmings dropped a double-double on 25 points and ten rebounds, while Foster scored nine points along with ten rebounds. Foster also posted two blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Dee Simon, who scored five points.
Potts Camp pushed their record up to 8-4 with that win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 89.2 points per game. As for Houlka, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.
Potts Camp will be home for the holidays to greet North Pontotoc at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. North Pontotoc is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak. Houlka's road trip will continue as they head out to face Vardaman at 7:30 p.m. on December 19th.
