Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Fitchburg should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They take on Nashoba Regional at Crocker Field at 7:00 PM. Fitchburg will be looking to avenge the 0-20 loss they took the last time these two teams played.
Fitchburg were close but not close enough last Friday as they fell 32-35 to Shepherd Hill Regional. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Fitchburg.
Meanwhile, Nashoba Regional made easy work of Westborough and carried off a 35-7 win. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 21-0.
Nashoba Regional's victory lifted them to 2-0 while Fitchburg's loss dropped them down to 0-2. We'll find out if Nashoba Regional can add another positive mark to their record or if Fitchburg can shake off the loss and take the spring out of Nashoba Regional's step.
