Dover have been homebodies their last two matches, but they are heading out on Friday. They will take on Smyrna at 7:00 PM. Dover are expected to win -- but not by much -- so they will need to come into the matchup prepared for a fight.
Last Friday, Dover put the finishing touches on their 4th blowout victory of the season. They were fully in charge, breezing past Sussex Tech 59-20. Among those leading the charge for Dover was junior Javon Peace, who picked up 242 yards on the ground and caught passes for 145 yards.
Meanwhile, after a dominant win in their game two weeks ago, Smyrna were humbled. They lost to Sussex Central by a decisive 12-31 margin.
Dover have to be hurting after a devastating 21-52 defeat at the hands of Smyrna the last time the two teams met. Whatever the outcome in this rematch, the contest is bound to be a fierce one since these are two of the top teams in the state.
