Adding to the longest winning streak in Southern 5B this week, Jefferson beat Whitehall/Harrison 40-0. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
Manhattan/Manhattan Christian led the league in scoring this week by notching 55 points on Three Forks/Willow Creek.
Jefferson's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. On the ground David Weinmeister contributed 124 yards.
Weinmeister was a passing and rushing force as Clint Layng's team beat the Trojans.
Braden Rykal and Weinmeister gave the Panthers a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Rykal threw for 8 yards and 1 touchdown, while Weinmeister ran for 124 yards. Cole Woodland also contributed to the rushing game with 67 yards on the ground.
Jefferson's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Panthers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Alex Brunett has thrown for 688 yards and 7 touchdowns this season, while Bredt Shanholtzer has 11 catches for 221 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Broadwater takes on Whitehall/Harrison. As it stands, the Bulldogs are in second, while John Stenson's team is in third.
The Tigers made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 7,298 from 7,708. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 55-6 victory over the Wolves last week.
