The Washington Generals will head out to take on the Oxford Chargers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Washington will be strutting in after a win while Oxford will be coming in after a loss.
Washington's pitching crew heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. They blew past Riverside 18-0. Considering the Generals have won 19 contests by more than five runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.
Jones Roberson made a splash while hitting and pitching. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last four games he's played.

In other batting news, Washington got a massive performance out of Doty Scott, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Scott has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Charley Dunn, who scored three runs while going 3-for-3.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Oxford's good fortune finally ran out on Monday. They came up short against Corinth, falling 11-2.
Like Washington, Oxford also got a great game from a two-way player: Ford Wade. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Wade was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, James Blackwood was cooking despite his team's loss, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one stolen base and one double.
Washington is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 24-5 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.6 runs over those games. As for Oxford, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-11.
