Southern Boone is a perfect 3-0 against Kirksville since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Eagles will face off against the Tigers at 6:40 p.m.

Southern Boone managed to slip by Capital City the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Eagles came up short against the Cavaliers on Wednesday, falling 4-0. Having soared to a lofty eight goals in the game before, Southern Boone's shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Kirksville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Everything went their way against Fulton on Monday as they made off with a 5-0 win. Considering Kirksville have won four games by more than three goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory snapped Kirksville's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record. As for Southern Boone, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Southern Boone took their win against Kirksville when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 5-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
