After a string of seven wins, The Streetsboro Rockets''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of West Branch by a score of 31-28. Despite 78 more yards than West Branch, Streetsboro couldn't convert that extra yardage to scores.
Despite the loss, Streetsboro still got an impressive performance from Preston Hopperton, who rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.5 yards per carry. Cohen Klimak was another key contributor, rushing for 97 yards.
West Branch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Boston Mulinix, who rushed for 143 yards and a touchdown while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Jeremiah Thomas also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Streetsboro's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for West Branch, their win was their seventh straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 11-1.
Streetsboro does not have any more games scheduled as of now. West Branch will head out on the road to face off against Canton South at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Canton South is ranked 92nd, while West Branch is ranked 113th).
