After having lost a blowout in their previous game against East Nashville Magnet, the Whites Creek Cobras were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 63-36 victory over Stratford. With Whites Creek ahead 39-17 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Whites Creek found their leader in underclassman Jordyn Simmons, who scored 18 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Simmons has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Devah'nyai Carswell, who scored ten points.
Several Spartans players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taniya Roberts, who scored eight points. Kicharlo Cottrell was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Whites Creek pushed their record up to 7-5 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.5 points per game. As for Stratford, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
Whites Creek will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. East Nashville Magnet has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Stratford, they will head out on the road to face off against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. KIPP Nashville Collegiate comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 18 points in their last seven games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
