Basketball Recap: Sky View Extends Winning Streak to Three

Sky View had won two straight games and Claire Fischer did her part to make it three on Tuesday. The Sky View Bobcats strolled past the Mountain Crest Mustangs with points to spare, taking the game 55-39 thanks in part to Fischer, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. The matchup was her third in a row with at least 16 points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Liv Mckay, who went 6 of 12 on her way to 17 points. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Mountain Crest's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Leighton Pratt, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten boards. Pratt has become a key player for Mountain Crest: the team is 11-3 when she posts at least ten rebounds, but 3-5 otherwise. Emersyn Brown was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Sky View's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.7 points over those games. As for Mountain Crest, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.

Sky View has already played their next game, a 47-32 win against Green Canyon on the 7th. As for Mountain Crest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 74-29 defeat against Ridgeline on the 6th.
