The Guardian Angels Central Catholic Bluejays have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matchups by 22 points or more this season. Everything went their way against Norfolk Catholic on Thursday as Guardian Angels Central Catholic made off with a 57-31 victory. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-13.
Avery Yosten and Sidonia Wattier certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Yosten scored nine points along with nine rebounds, while Wattier scored eight points along with five rebounds. Yosten scored a full 29% of Norfolk Catholic's points, the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Guardian Angels Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Norfolk Catholic, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 3-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Guardian Angels Central Catholic has the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Cornerstone Christian School on December 16th. Norfolk Catholic will be home for the holidays to greet Winnebago at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
