The Clear Lake Falcons can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They managed a 60-55 victory over Pasadena Memorial. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Clear Lake's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jazmine Klausmeier, who scored 24 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Those 24 points set a new season-high mark for her. The team also got some help courtesy of Carmen Evans, who scored eight points along with eight steals and six rebounds.
Clear Lake's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-14. As for Pasadena Memorial, their loss dropped their record down to 12-10.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Clear Lake will face off against Clear Springs at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Clear Springs has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Pasadena Memorial, they will head out on the road to face off against Deer Park at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Texas (Deer Park is ranked 517th, while Pasadena Memorial is ranked 509th).
