The Bronaugh Wildcats scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 101-63 victory over Greenfield on the road. Bronaugh has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five matches by 31 points or more this season.
Bronaugh got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Strauss Banes out in front who almost dropped a triple-double on 39 points, 14 rebounds, and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Banes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Tucker Duncan, who scored 33 points along with four steals.
The victory makes it two in a row for Bronaugh and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Greenfield, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.
Bronaugh on the road again on Tuesday and play against Pierce City at 5:15 p.m. on January 16th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Missouri (Pierce City is ranked 368th, while Bronaugh is ranked 387th). As for Greenfield, they will head out on the road to take on Lighthouse Christian at 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Lighthouse Christian's favor as the team sits on three straight wins at home while Greenfield has been banged up by 18 consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
