After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Liberty, the Walnut Grove Wildcats were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They took their matchup at home with ease, bagging a 52-20 win over Heritage. This was payback for Walnut Grove, who suffered a 37-33 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Heritage still got an impressive performance from Emilia Okojie, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Walnut Grove has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-12 record this season. As for Heritage, their loss dropped their record down to 17-17.
Walnut Grove will square off against Reedy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Reedy will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Walnut Grove surely won't give up without a fight. Heritage will be staying on the road on Monday to face off against Wakeland at 7:00 p.m. on February 12th. Hopefully Heritage focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 on Tuesday.
