Dayton hasn't had much luck against Churchill County recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Dust Devils are taking a road trip to take on the Greenwave at 3:00 p.m. Dayton is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.9 runs per game this season.
Dayton couldn't beat Wooster on Saturday even though they stacked six runs on them in the fifth inning. The Dust Devils came up short against the Colts, falling 15-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Dust Devils have suffered since February 26th.

Jackson Storm made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off ten hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one run. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.
In other batting news, Zack Adams and Mason Llamas did most of the damage at the plate: Adams went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs, while Llamas went 3-for-5 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Churchill County is 4-1 when Llamas posts two or more runs, but 4-5 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Braylon Byrd, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Dayton has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .498.
