The Bridgewater-Raritan Panthers were expected to have a tough go of it on Tuesday, and that's exactly how things played out. They suffered a grim 75-52 defeat to the Immaculata Spartans. The result was an unfortunate reminder to the Panthers of the 84-56 loss they experienced in the two teams' previous head-to-head earlier this month.
Bridgewater-Raritan's defeat pushed them down to 2-19. The win bumped Immaculata's record up to 16-4.
Bridgewater-Raritan will be hunkering down at home again for their game against Bayonne on Saturday. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps rankings project a close contest. Immaculata will be playing at home against Metuchen on Thursday. Like the Spartans, Metuchen is also coming into the matchup bolstered by a recent victory.
