St. Stephens won the last time they faced West Iredell and things went their way on Monday too. The Indians put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 12-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Indians, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.
Anicka McFarland was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI.
