Basketball Recap: Josiah Harmeyer Key Part of a Team Effort in Eagles Win

Grove City Christian won the last time they faced Fairfield Christian Academy and things went their way on Friday too. Everything went the Grove City Christian Eagles' way against the Fairfield Christian Academy Knights as the Grove City Christian Eagles made off with a 57-36 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three matches by 21 points or more this season.

Grove City Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Josiah Harmeyer, who almost dropped a triple-double on 15 points, ten boards, and nine assists. The dominant performance gave Harmeyer a new career-high in assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Logan Langsdorf, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 boards.

Grove City Christian's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 2-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grove City Christian will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Fairbanks at 7:30 p.m. on December 30th. As for Fairfield Christian Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Elgin at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
