Cade Reinick threw two touchdowns and ran for three more as
Wray (Colo.) beat Byers (Colo.) 46-7 on Saturday.
The Eagles were up 38-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Reinick touchdown run in the first quarter.
Wray expanded its lead to 46 points entering the fourth quarter. WHS scored two times in the third, including once on a touchdown pass by Reinick to
Austin Reed.
The Eagles put up 30 points in the second quarter en route to the win. Wray scored on a touchdown run by Reinick, a Reinick touchdown pass to
Jaden Valko, a Valko touchdown run and a touchdown run by Reinick in the quarter.
The Bulldogs' Ryan Imber played well. The senior quarterback threw one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to 13 on the year.
Byers' lone touchdown came on a 19-yard pass from Imber to Chase Dean in the fourth quarter.
WHS had given up an average of 14.7 points prior to the contest. The seven points that BHS ended with were well below its average of 29.8 coming into the game.
The defeat comes as a step back for Byers, which notched a 51-8 victory over Calhan in its previous outing. The loss snapped the Bulldogs' 2-game winning streak.
