Danbury is 0-7 against Lakota since April of 2022 but things could change on Saturday. The Lakers will welcome the Raiders at 11:00 a.m. Danbury will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each contest than the last.
Danbury took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over Open Door Christian. The win was some much needed relief for the Lakers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Tommy Dean made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single hit and allowed only one earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, Logan Lucas was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. He has become a key player for Danbury: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 4-16 otherwise. Taylor Monak was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Lakota fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against New Riegel on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Blue Jackets by a score of 5-4. The Raiders just can't catch a break and have now endured three losses in a row.
AJ Gosche made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one run, one double, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Grant Bomer, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.
Danbury's victory bumped their record up to 7-16. As for Lakota, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
