With a playoff win on the line, South Sevier rose to the challenge  on Saturday. Everything went their way against the Piute Thunderbirds as they made off with  a  17-1 win. The Rams are really starting to get used to good results now that the team has won 26 straight.
South Sevier got a  massive  performance out of  Caitlin Nielson, who  went 1-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI. That's the most  stolen bases  Nielson has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Landree Larsen, who  got on base  in all three of her plate appearances with two  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  double.
 South Sevier  hit smart and  finished the game with only one  strikeout. The team has now struck out at least five batters  in 15 consecutive  matches.
South Sevier's victory was  their 14th straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 26-1. Those  home  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.5 runs over those games. As for Piute, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record  this season.
