Wilson is 1-6 against Brooks since September of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Wilson Warriors will be playing at home against the Brooks Lions at 7:00 p.m. The teams are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Wilson has struggled recently with five defeats in a row, while Brooks will arrive with four straight wins.
Last Thursday, Wilson was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 34-28 to East Lawrence.
Meanwhile, Brooks strolled past Rogers with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 28-14.
Garrett Burrough continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 163 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also throwing for 42 yards and two touchdowns. Burrough was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 59 yards. Lucas Oakley was in the mix too, providing Brooks with two touchdowns.
Wilson's defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 1-6. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 12.67 points per game. As for Brooks, their win on Friday bumped their record up to 5-2.
Wilson suffered a grim 38-13 defeat to Brooks in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Wilson have more luck at home instead of on the road?
