There's no place like home for the Otay Ranch Mustangs, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Saturday. They skirted past San Diego 76-73. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Percy Whittaker was his usual excellent self, scoring 31 points along with 8 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Otay Ranch's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Fabian Resler , who scored 20 points along with 8 rebounds.
Otay Ranch's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for San Diego, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.
Otay Ranch will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Rancho Buena Vista at 7:00 p.m. on December 13th. As for San Diego, they will square off against Centennial at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
