Softball Recap: Crook County Has No Trouble Against Molalla

Crook County got themselves on the board against Molalla on Monday, but Molalla never followed suit. They blew past the Indians 10-0. The Cowboys might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by seven runs or more this season.

Crook County got a big performance out of Kya Mozingo, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave Mozingo a new career-high. Jolene Bartolotti also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Crook County was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .407. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Molalla only posted a batting average of .118.

The victory made it two in a row for Crook County and bumps their season record up to 8-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games. As for Molalla, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-7.
