The Guilford Home Educators Heat scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They claimed a resounding 86-44 win over Salem Baptist Christian on the road. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Guilford Home Educators had established a 39 point advantage.
Despite the loss, Salem Baptist Christian still got an impressive performance from Garrett Trinkle, who shot 6-for-10 from long range and dropped a double-double on 30 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 68.2% of Salem Baptist Christian's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Lloyd, who scored seven points along with 13 rebounds.
Guilford Home Educators' win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Salem Baptist Christian, they dropped their record down to 1-18 with that loss, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season.
Guilford Home Educators will take on Community Baptist at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Salem Baptist Christian, they will head out on the road to square off against University Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. University Christian is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.
