The Premont Cowboys's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by Pettus 48-20.
Pettus can attribute much of their success to Nathan Orr, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Orr has scored at least 25% of Pettus' points. Another player making a difference was Seth Guajardo, who scored 7 points along with 5 rebounds.
Premont has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Pettus, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Premont's road trip will continue as they head out to face Taft at 10:00 a.m. on December 2nd. Taft has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 323 points over their last five games. As for Pettus, they will face off against Banquete at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Banquete comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
