The Carroll Cougars entered their tilt with the Culver Academies Eagles with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Carroll walked away with a 60-48 victory over Culver Academies on Saturday.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Carroll to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Wagner, who scored 18 points along with 9 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Wagner has scored at least 25% of Carroll's points. Alli Harness was another key contributor, scoring 14 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists.
Carroll pushed their record up to 8-2 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Culver Academies, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-5.
Carroll will head out on the road to face off against Maconaquah at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maconaquah will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 246th, while Carroll is ranked 75th). As for Culver Academies, they will be playing in front of their home fans against NorthWood at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
