The Fort Fairfield Tigers will square off against the Southern Aroostook Warriors at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Fairfield will come into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
On Monday, Fort Fairfield got the win against Ashland by a conclusive 16-1. Fans of the Tigers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Cayden Ala made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off three hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Ala is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season.
In other batting news, Fort Fairfield got a massive performance out of Lucas Cormier, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Cormier has posted since back in May of 2024. Another player making a difference was Levi Cole, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Fort Fairfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .529 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 12 runs the game before, Southern Aroostook was a bit more limited in their match on Tuesday. They came up short against Katahdin, falling 12-1. The loss continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Cougars: they've now lost four in a row.
Southern Aroostook's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Fort Fairfield, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.
Southern Aroostook's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fort Fairfield has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13 hits per game. It's a different story for Southern Aroostook, though, as they've been averaging 9.7 hits. Given Fort Fairfield's sizable advantage in that area, the Warriors will need to find a way to close that gap.
