Among those leading the charge was Jerry Ashley, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Bishop Verot's points. Another player making a difference was Gavin Williams, who scored 16 points.
Imagine School at North Port's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zahmir Jackson, who scored 9 points. Jackson scored a full 26.5% of Imagine School at North Port's points, the third time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelo Blas, who scored 8 points along with 5 rebounds.
The victory got Bishop Verot back to even at 1-1. As for Imagine School at North Port, they bumped their record down to 2-3 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road.
