The Holy Cross Knights won the last time they faced The Christian School at Castle Hills Eagles, and things went their way on Saturday too. Holy Cross took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 65-37 victory over The Christian School at Castle Hills. Given Holy Cross' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 507th, while The Christian School at Castle Hills is ranked 1195th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Dominic Hernandez was his usual excellent self, scoring 23 points along with three steals. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Garcia, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
The victory makes it two in a row for Holy Cross and bumps their season record up to 8-6. As for The Christian School at Castle Hills, their loss dropped their record down to 6-17.
Holy Cross and San Marcos HomeSchool will face off at 6:00 p.m. on December 16th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The Christian School at Castle Hills will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pantego Christian at 6:00 p.m. on December 28th.
