The St. Francis Red Raiders are taking a road trip to face off against the Williamsville North Spartans at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. St. Francis hasn't scored more than two runs for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.
St. Francis was handed a six-run loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand Bishop Timon-St. Jude a 2-0 shutout.

Aidan Curran
The result came thanks to Aidan Curran's shutout, as he gave up just four hits and racked up ten Ks. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because St. Francis is 2-1 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-10-1 otherwise.
At the plate, St. Francis' win was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Will Hanson, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
Meanwhile, it may have taken ten innings to finish the job, but Williamsville North ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out Williamsville East 6-5.
George Klentos tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Eamon Mouyeos, who went 3-for-4 with five RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Nathyn Kroll, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one run.
St. Francis' record now sits at 4-11-1. As for Williamsville North, their record is now 9-7-1.
St. Francis came out on top in a nail-biter against Williamsville North in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, sneaking past 6-5. Will the Red Raiders repeat their success, or do the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
