The Hillsborough Raiders were the 51-44 winner over the Franklin Warriors when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Hillsborough fell just short of Franklin by a score of 45-43. Hillsborough has been going strong on the season, but this is now their second defeat in a row.
Hillsborough's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jayden Green, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Zion Harrison, who scored 11 points.
Hillsborough's loss dropped their record down to 10-4. As for Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hillsborough will face off against Westfield at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to take on Eastside at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Eastside comes in on three and Franklin on four.
