The Montverde Academy Regional Eagle pushed their score all the way to 55 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. The contest between Montverde Academy Regional and Hope Academy wasn't particularly close, with Montverde Academy Regional falling 73-55. While losing is never fun, Montverde Academy Regional can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 455th, while Hope Academy is ranked 193rd).
Hope Academy got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Dwayne Foreman III out in front who dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten assists. The game was Foreman III's 18th in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ja'vion Jenkins, who scored 21 points.
Montverde Academy Regional's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Hope Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 15 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record this season.
