The Colorado Wolves will head out to face off against the Eldorado Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Colorado took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Sonora. The Wolves' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Mikell Martinez and Talan Arguijo made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Martinez tossed 3.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Meanwhile, Arguijo struck out six batters over 3.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Martinez has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in three consecutive appearances. At bat, Martinez went 3-for-5 with two stolen bases and two runs, while Arguijo got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. That's the most hits Martinez has posted since back in April of 2025.
In other batting news, Raiden Matos was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Curtis Lindsey also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
Colorado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Eldorado came tearing into Wednesday's contest with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They had just enough and edged out the Bulldogs 10-8.
Like Colorado, Eldorado also got a great game from a two-way player: Jonnie Adame. He struck out ten batters over 6.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). Adame was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
In other batting news, Eldorado got a massive performance out of Marcos Flynn, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Landon McSherry, who went 4-for-5 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Colorado picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 3-6. As for Eldorado, their record now sits at 7-2.
Colorado might still be hurting after the 16-1 defeat they got from Eldorado in their previous meeting back in April of 2025. Can the Wolves avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
