The McCook Bison and the Arlington Eagles will round out the year against one another at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.
Last Saturday, everything came up roses for McCook against Grand Island as the squad secured a 72-40 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bison's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 30th, while the Islanders are ranked 190th).

McCook's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Tripp Raile led the charge by going 6-for-9 en route to 18 points along with six rebounds and three steals. Thanks to that strong game, Raile now owns an excellent 40.9% three-point shooting accuracy. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Graham, who shot 45% from the field to rack up 14 points and five boards.
McCook smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 13 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least nine offensive rebounds every time they've taken the court this season.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arlington). They took their contest on Monday with ease, bagging a 62-32 win over Aquinas. The Eagles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since January 4th (when they won 88-40).
McCook better keep an eye on Oliver Ladehoff. He was instrumental in Arlington's win, going 7-for-16 on his way to 19 points in addition to six assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jack Morgan, who posted nine points along with seven boards and five assists.
McCook's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Arlington, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: McCook has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 35 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Arlington struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 27.3 boards.
