Fort Bend Austin's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Crystal Schultz, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Schultz hasn't dropped below two steals for 18 straight games. Andrea Sturdivant was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 12 rebounds and two steals.
Fort Bend Austin's loss dropped their record down to 30-2. As for Fort Bend Hightower, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 17 of their last 18 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.
Fort Bend Austin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Fort Bend Hightower, they will look to defend their home court on Monday against Cinco Ranch at 6:00 p.m. Fort Bend Hightower is on a 18-game streak of home wins, Cinco Ranch a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
