The Columbus Christian Crusaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 70-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of Living Water Homeschool. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Columbus Christian's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Branson Carr, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carr has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Peyton Walden, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds.
Columbus Christian has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season. As for Living Water Homeschool, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 15-10.
Columbus Christian will be playing at home against the Hilltoppers at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Living Water Homeschool's road trip will continue as they head out to face the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on February 9th.
