The Bartlett Yancey Buccaneers won the last time they faced the Cummings Cavaliers, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Bartlett Yancey walked away with a 47-35 win over Cummings. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bartlett Yancey.
Bartlett Yancey's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Alexis Farrish, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Farrish pulled down eight or more rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Jazmyne Henderson, who scored 13 points along with six steals.
The victory got Bartlett Yancey back to even at 5-5. As for Cummings, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Bartlett Yancey will take on Chatham Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Chatham Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 16 last Friday. Cummings won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against North Moore at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. North Moore is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.
