The biggest upset of the week belonged to Southeast, who took down 92nd ranked Southeast, 23-6. Kyler Cook threw for 140 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
Girard extended the longest winning streak in Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee this week by beating Parsons, 68-13. The win marks seventh in a row for the the Trojans.
Taylor Lewis was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 10 carries, he ran for 199 yards as Girard topped the Lancers. Anthony Scholes also contributed to the rushing game with 163 yards on the ground.
Nate Bole provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Columbus lost to Field Kindley. He completed seven passes for 134 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 97 yards. Bole's favorite target this week was AJ Randle, who caught two passes for 69 yards.
Nick Sivert made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Bulldogs beat Southeast. The 6-foot-0 junior pulled down two interceptions.
Helton was the best wideout in the league this week as Galena bested Clint Rider's team. Helton tallied three receptions for 71 yards. Trenton Little helped Galena's passing attack out by catching one ball for 25 yards.
The Lancers' Josh Thompson and Daniel Peak have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading Crawford-Neosho-Cherokee in both passing and receiving yards. Thompson has thrown for 1289 yards this season, while Peak, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 37 catches for 749 yards. Leon Miller's team's Scholes leads the league in rushing yards with 1343.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Southeast takes on St. Mary's-Colgan. The Lancers are currently in second, while the Panthers are in third.
Riverton and St. Mary's-Colgan played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Riverton eventually emerging with a 21-20 victory.
