The Lunenburg Central Chargers will head out to challenge the Randolph-Henry Statesmen at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lunenburg Central is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season.

Lunenburg Central had taken Prince Edward County down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Chargers fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 3-2. The loss was Lunenburg Central's first of the season.

Riley Hawthorne and Luis Mendoza-Cruz scored both of Lunenburg Central's goals, bringing their combined season tally to eight goals.

Meanwhile, Randolph-Henry entered their tilt with Buckingham on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their defense stepped up to hand the Knights a 4-0 shutout. Considering Randolph-Henry have won three matches by more than three goals this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Randolph-Henry's win bumped their record up to 4-1-1. As for Lunenburg Central, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 3-1-1.

Lunenburg Central might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Randolph-Henry in their previous meeting back in May of 2024. Can the Chargers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
