AA Region 2 recap Oct. 23, 2012
Vidalia extended the longest winning streak in AA Region 2 this week by beating Bryan County, 42-7. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
McIntosh County Academy took down Jeff Davis 46-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Vidalia's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Indians feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Dejarius Mincey has thrown for 557 yards and eight touchdowns this season, while Will Chomskis has 17 catches for 230 yards. Juan Foster leads the league in rushing with 912 yards.
Foster of the Vidalia is only 88 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Toombs County takes on Benedictine. At the moment, the Bulldogs are in third, while the Cadets are in second.
The Buccaneers led AA Region 2 in scoring this week after putting up 46 points on the Yellowjackets.
