The Morris Catholic Crusaders put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They claimed a resounding 77-36 victory over Plainfield on the road. Morris Catholic has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 41 points or more this season.
Mia Pauldo was her usual excellent self, scoring 16 points along with eight assists and five rebounds. Pauldo is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Kennedy Brown was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with four steals.
Morris Catholic pushed their record up to 16-0 with that win, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Plainfield, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-4.
Morris Catholic and D will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 26th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (D is ranked fifth in Florida, while Morris Catholic is ranked first in New Jersey). Plainfield won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Union Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on January 25th.
