The Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes will take on the West Hall Spartans at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Monroe Area will be strutting in after a  win while West Hall will be coming in after a  defeat.
On Friday, Monroe Area didn't have too much trouble with Oconee County  as they won  35-21. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Purple Hurricanes.

 Bryce Bell was the offensive standout of the  contest as he picked up 101 receiving yards and one  score. Those  101  receiving yards gave  him a new career-high.
 Monroe Area was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 367  rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Oconee County only  rushed for 14.
 On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Monroe Area's defense and their three sacks. Leading the way was  Dacian Davis with  two.  Jockese Miller was another major factor on D,  picking up  a  sack, making eight total tackles (2.0 for loss),  and defending three passes.
 Meanwhile, West Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight  loss. They took a  blow against East Hall, falling  56-7. That's two games in a row now that the Spartans have lost by  exactly 49  points.
 Monroe Area's victory bumped their record up to 7-2. As for West Hall, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.
 Monroe Area was able to grind out a solid  win over West Hall when the teams last played  back in November of 2024, winning  31-21. Will the Purple Hurricanes repeat their success,  or do  the Spartans have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
