Whetstone had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 30.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They blew past the Beechcroft Cougars 59-30. The Braves have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 25 points or more this season.

Whetstone's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caniya Woods led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and 13 rebounds. Woods is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played. Catherine Pierce was another key player, almost dropping a double-double on nine points and 12 boards.

Whetstone smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least 11 offensive rebounds in eight consecutive matchups.

Whetstone's victory bumped their record up to 10-6. As for Beechcroft, they now have a losing record at 7-8.

Whetstone wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 69-49 win against Northland on the 24th. Beechcroft has also already played their next game, a 61-33 loss against Linden-McKinley on the 24th.
