Baseball Recap: Whitmore Lake Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Whitmore Lake had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They never let Clarenceville get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Saturday. Whitmore Lake not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 12th (when they won 21-4).

Curtis Bower was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Donovan Fox, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with four stolen bases and three runs.

Whitmore Lake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They are 3-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Whitmore Lake picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-7. As for Clarenceville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.
