This season hasn't been kind to the Crossroad Academy Scorpions, who are still winless after their fourth match. They took a 47-33 bruising from Suwannee on Tuesday. That's two games in a row now that Crossroad Academy has lost by exactly 14 points.
Suwannee was led to victory by Kiera Jelks and Shadavia Jones. Jelks scored 11 points, while Jones scored 14 points. Zjamyah Wilson was another key contributor, scoring six points.
Crossroad Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Suwannee, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.
Crossroad Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Godby at 6:00 p.m. on January 4, 2024. Suwannee and Baker County will face off at 7:30 p.m. on December 21st without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Baker County will be looking to keep their five-game home win streak alive.
