After losing to the Saltillo Tigers the last time they met, the Grenada Chargers decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Grenada simply couldn't be stopped on Monday as they easily beat Saltillo 54-21 on the road.
Grenada can attribute much of their success to Lauren Harges, who scored 15 points along with 7 assists and 5 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Harges has scored at least 25% of Grenada's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carlei Brown, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
Grenada's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Saltillo, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grenada won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Amanda Elzy at 6:00 p.m. on November 28th. As for Saltillo, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mantachie at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
