The Soroco Rams were the 39-35 winner over the De Beque Dragons when they last played one another back in January of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Soroco was the victim of a tough 54-32 loss at the hands of De Beque on Friday. Soroco has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead De Beque to victory, but perhaps none more so than Avery Rigsby, who dropped a double-double on 24 points and 11 rebounds. Rigsby has been hot recently, having posted eight or more rebounds the last four times she's played. Ava Vines was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Soroco's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for De Beque, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Caprock Academy the next time they take the court. Soroco will host Caprock Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, while De Beque will head out to face them at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
