The Unioto Shermans will challenge the Miami Trace Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Unioto 1.3, Miami Trace 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Miami Trace will be up against a hot Unioto squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Shermans walked away with a 6-1 victory over Westfall on Wednesday.

KB Perkins spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on seven hits and racked up ten Ks. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Keegan Snyder, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3. He also hit a double, marking his first of the season. Callaway Ratliff was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Miami Trace has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging four runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Wednesday. They came up short against Hillsboro, falling 10-2. The matchup marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.
Miami Trace saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jameson Hyer, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
Unioto pushed their record up to 6-3 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Miami Trace, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Thursday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Unioto has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Miami Trace struggles in that department as they've been averaging 10.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Unioto beat Miami Trace 6-1 in their previous matchup back in May of 2021. Do the Shermans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
