The Windber Ramblers will face off against the Blacklick Valley Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Windber knows how to get runs on the board -- the squad has finished with ten runs or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Blacklick Valley likes a good challenge.
On Monday, Windber got the win against Glendale by a conclusive 13-3. Fans of the Ramblers have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.
Cole Heinrich looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Cole Mash was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Mash is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. Another player making a difference was Dylan Woodruff, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
Windber always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Glendale only posted an OBP of .409.
Meanwhile, Blacklick Valley fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bishop Carroll on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies.
Blacklick Valley saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Boring, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI.
Windber pushed their record up to 3-0 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Blacklick Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Windber skirted past Blacklick Valley 6-5 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Will the Ramblers repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
